How do you offer such high quality while maintaining competitive pricing? |
| |
Our old-fashioned approach to doing business creates value for our clients and keeps costs down. We believe in living within our means, both as a family and as a company. This philosophy guides us in keeping our overhead and operating expenses down, contributing to the value we pass on to you. In addition to our traditional business approach, we maintain the core philosophy to never sacrifice quality to save on construction costs. We believe the quality of your home is a long-term investment we share and both benefit from. |

How do I select a custom home builder or remodeler? |
| |
Selecting a builder is the most important factor in a successful home construction project. A sound builder selection will provide excellent customer service, a commitment to quality, and provide you with the superior value that a major investment deserves. The problem is that there is no foolproof way of making the right choice. We believe that the most important factors to consider when choosing your builder come down to trust and personality fit. Building or remodeling a home is a lengthy process that most customers become very emotionally involved, as they should. The number one ingredient for a failed construction project is trust issues between home owners and builders. Do not get involved with a home builder you do not trust, regardless of how attractive the price, it is a recipe for disaster. We also ask that you consider any possible personality conflicts between you and your builder. A major conflict in personalities can really wear on the relationship between a builder and homeowner. Other factors to consider is their experience, competence, and service history. |
| |
 |
How long does the building process take? |
| |
So many factors go into the schedule of designing and building a home that it is very difficult to give a blanket schedule to cover all projects. These factors include complexity of the design, the permitting process, size of the home, level of finishes included, and even Mother Nature. Our average build time is approximately 5-8 months from breaking ground to the completion of the home. Keep in mind, a customer who is prepared and really knows what they want can dramatically decrease the amount of time it takes to design and build a home. |
| |
 |
Who will be our contact during the building process? |
| |
You will work with Michael Friddle for all construction tasks and with Paige Friddle for all selections and scheduling. We work as a team to streamline the process and keep you involved every step of the way. We also understand that the most important team member is you. We do our best to make your experience interesting and frankly, fun – because when you’re creating a special place to enjoy, there’s no reason it shouldn’t be. |
| |
 |
How often are you at the job site? |
| |
Every day. We are self-described nit-pickers. Our subcontractors are carefully evaluated before they are selected, and even more carefully supervised while they’re doing the work. |
| |
 |
Do we need a Realtor to work with Friddle and Company? |
| |
We can work directly with clients and we welcome Realtors and their clients as well. |
| |
 |
How much do you charge per square foot? |
| |
This is a frequently asked question by clients who are trying to budget for their project. Unfortunately it is not an easy question to answer due to the fact that all of our projects are as unique as our clients. Each family design is usually completely different than the next as each has their own personal taste and style. Personal preferences and individual requirements in the areas of quality and aesthetics will determine the exact cost. Consequently a typical price range may be $115-$200 per square foot. |
| |
 |
What is considered a “standard” in a Friddle and Company custom home and what is an “upgrade”? |
| |
One benefit to building with Friddle and Company is that many of the things that we install in our homes are considered “upgrades” with other builders. We customize each home from concept to move-in with the features and specifications requested by each client. We make suggestions and provide options from the latest in ideas and technology. |
| |
 |
How do I begin a project with Friddle and Company? |
| |
You have already begun the process by visiting our Website and getting to know us just a little bit better. Custom homes are designed from scratch, typically starting life as a few magazine clippings, brochures, or several random design ideas from other houses you have seen. We encourage you to take the time to organize your thoughts and ideas in a binder and/or notebook. This will really help you communicate your vision of your new home to us and/or our architects. You can contact us at 336.404.0160 or email us at info@friddleandcompany.com anytime and we will help you get started. |
